Julia George, Principal Arborist Carrying forward the family legacy
Heartwood Tree Care was founded in 1979 by Patrick George, who believes that trees are vital to our environment and community. His journey began with a single ancient tree he climbed as a teenager near his mother's home on St. John's Lane, which still proudly stands today, bridging the two ends of the street. Patrick has always held a deep appreciation for each tree he has encountered. What started with a truck, a dog named Chainsaw, and a small group of passionate tree climbers has blossomed over the past four decades into an award-winning, nationally recognized industry leader.
Now retired, Patrick has passed the torch to his daughter, Julia, who proudly carries on the family business. Under her leadership, Heartwood remains committed to the values and vision that Patrick established. Driven by a fascination with the mystery of trees, our team is devoted to understanding the science behind them. This passion fuels our mission to nurture trees and enhance the landscapes of our community, ensuring they thrive for generations to come.
